By: Joel Hirschhorn | 2010-04-02 | News and society Americans need a civics lesson. And so do politicians. Of all the wrong and delusional thinking about the US Constitution the one that is most thoroughly incorrect and routinely used for political propaganda purposes is that there are three coequal branches of the federal government. read more
By: Oliver Harding | 2010-04-04 | Politics Since the Blackhall Constitution of 1863 was unable to meet the expectations of the Settlers, the post 1863 period ushered in an ear of quest for a better form of representative and democratic government. However, several factors threatened the implementation of the 1924 Ransford Slater Constitution in Sierra Leone. The composition of the Legislative and Executive Councils, coupled with the implications of colonialism and racism, divide and rule, the Great War (1914-1918) and the Great Debate could be meaningfully regarded as obstacles to constitutional change. read more
By: Ron Bartels | 2010-04-04 | Politics It is our responsibility to light a fire under the rear ends of our politicians and if we don't step up to the plate now, we will live to regret our inaction. This is why we are proposing the Fair Access Amendment. If our politicians fail to support and pass the Fair Access Amendment then the people will have no choice but to secede one State at a time and form a nation of Free States. read more

By: J.J. Jackson | 2010-04-04 | Politics When in the course of human events it becomes clear that a portion of the American public no longer understands the clear and unambiguous words of our Constitution it is necessary to further clarify already simple and plain language that even your average third grader in 1776 could have understood. As such I propose that the time for a Constitutional Convention to aid in the process of dumbing down the Constitution of these United States is at hand and I do propose the following amendments. read more

By: Joel Hirschhorn | 2010-04-03 | Politics Senator Russ Feingold has a fine idea for a constitutional amendment: every senator must actually be elected rather than appointed to that position. But he should shift attention to getting Congress to obey the Constitution and call the first Article V convention. read more

By: Mia Little | 2010-04-02 | Bath showers A modern bathroom vanity is basically any vanity that is not an antique. Typically though, if a vanity is unique in shape, sleek in design, and stylishly different from any other vanity you have ever seen then it probably falls into the category of modern. Modern design can however, include many different types of materials similar to standard vanities like wood, glass, metal, and even porcelain. The most notable difference between any old vanity and a modern bathroom vanity has to be its unique design, how the vanity is mounted, and the type of fixtures it contains. read more
By: John Bambenek | 2010-04-04 | Politics This November, the citizens of Illinois have a great opportunity to take bake their government from the corrupt and entrenched politicians who rule with their "pay-to-play" politics. A convention, however, should not touch on solitary reforms but to reform the entire constitution to create a foundation and framework for good governance in Illinois. Illinois deserves better. read more
By: Michael Bresciani | 2010-10-08 | Current Affairs Current Affairs, Advice, Christianity In what sounds like a page out of Mad Magazine a fire company in Tennessee stood watching as Gene Cranick’s house burned to the ground in Obion County. Cranick had not paid the $75.00 fee to the fire Department so the firefighters stood by and gawked as the family home went up in flames. Not since Billy Joel sang his tribute to the fallen heroes of 9/11 with a firemen’s helmet placed conspicuously on the center of his grand piano has there been such a need to weep over firemen. Perhaps the fire crew wanted to rush in but was under orders not to and, this may constitute the first case o... read more
By: Michael Lemieux | 2010-04-04 | Politics Problem: It has become settled knowledge, within the freedom and tax honesty movements, that the current enforcement of the tax code is unconstitutional and therefore illegal. It is also well known that the tax system is designed to feed the banking system to pay the interest on the money that Congress is supposed to mint, but they have given that power to the private bankers. This would be akin to a fox guarding the hen house scenario. I have written in the past about the illegality of the current income tax scheme; or more correctly, the illegal and unconstitutional methods the IRS uses to force people who are not liable for income tax to pay income tax. Congress has specific and limited means by which it may raise revenue (taxes) for the operation of the federal government. This limitation was made by design to ensure that the abusive taxation endured by the colonists would not be repeated by their newly formed government. read more
