Belgian officials said that the flooding was considered as the worst in 50 years. Several regions were destroyed heavily. The area around Brussels has also been suffered from the floods. A canal has been broken in some places. Rail traffic was seriously interrupted on Sunday morning. At least two people near the French border have been killed, another person was reported missing and over 200 houses had to be evacuated. The situation also became extremely serious in the Brabant region and Hainaut province. Local authorities had to call in the army to assist with emergency evacuations. read more
