According to officials, the worst-hit state is Alabama with the death toll up to 204 people, including 15 killed by a tornado that destroyed the city of Tuscaloosa. Other states including Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia and Virginia are also announced the emergency situation. At least 32 people have been killed in Mississippi, 11 in Georgia, 14 in Tennessee and eight in Virginia on Tuesday and Wednesday. The US National Weather Service said that the current storm will hit North and South Carolina before making its way further north-east.
