By: Rae Edwards | 2010-03-28 | Mobile Phones CECT's i9 and KA08 mini are probably two of the most popular iPhone clones on the market today. This brings about inevitable comparisons and opinions/debates as to which phone is better. The answer to this is going to depend on how you plan to use the phone. There are some distinct differences between the two that can help you to pinpoint which might work better for you. I'll discuss these things in the following article. read more
By: Rae Edwards | 2010-03-31 | Mobile Phones I get asked a lot of questions about the CECT i9. This phone is probably the most popular in the iPhone clone line up right now. Many of the questions that I receive have to do with Java and this is understandable because not all of the clones support this feature. For example, the mini KA08 is a great and popular phone, but it does not support Java and this omission means that you can't enjoy all of the cool applications and games that this support allows. In the following article, I'll discuss some of the more popular Java applications, where to get them, and how to download them. read more

This went back and forth for some time until I realized that he was assuming that this phrasing was the name of one phone. read more
By: Rae Edwards | 2010-04-01 | Mobile Phones I sometimes get emails describing a phone called the "i9 iPhone." Now, it's pretty obvious to me what the writer means by this phone, but I'm sometimes not sure if they know that what they are describing is meant for a phone that isn't technically an iPhone or made by Apple. In fact, the i9, although a clone or knock off, is a dead ringer for the original and is a Chinese import. It's made by a company called CECT that made the original iClone (P168) and have several well known replicas under their belt. And, there are a few ways that it differs from the Apple version (although I find these differences to be pluses.) I'll go over these differences in the following article. read more
By: Rae Edwards | 2010-04-03 | Mobile Phones I get a lot of questions from folks trying to decide between the KA08 mini iPhone clone or the extremely popular CECT i9. Both of these phones have quite similar features and functions but I find that there are small distinctions between them and sometimes they appeal to a different type of consumer. I'll explain what I mean by this in the following article. read more

By: Rae Edwards | 2010-03-29 | Mobile Phones The other day, I received an email from someone who had many questions about the CECT line of iPhone clones. Specifically, this person wanted to know things like "do these CECT knock offs really give the iPhone a run for it's money? Are they really decent phones? Will I be happy with one? I want to save money, but I don't want a cheap phone." I'll try to address these concerns in the following article. read more
