By: Mary Rose | 2011-01-13 | News and society In December 31, a powerful bomb exploded in front of a Christian church in the northern city of Alexandria in Egypt, killing at least 21 people and wounding nearly 80 others. Victims are worshippers who were leaving a New Year's Mass at the church. The bomb blast was believed as a suicide attack. The attack was considered as the worst violence against Egypt’s Christian minority in a decade and it also raised suspicions of an al-Qaida role.
