Great sharks are well – known for their size; the largest individual is recorded to grow in 20 feet (6 meters) and weight up to 5,000 pounds (2,268 kilograms). For a long time, Seal Island in False Bay, 30km south of Cape Town is considered as the best place to watch this huge animal. This is also where scientists acknowledged that great white shark behave differently, including the highly unusual behavior of breaching than any other sites else in the world. All recent hunting observations have pointed out that great white sharks are intelligent but not indiscriminate killers.
