It is located on a small hill that overlooks the Ain River valley. The village developed in the 14th and 15th centuries due to its wine and weaving industries. There are a lot of interesting buildings here such as a firm church and the house of the Prince of Savoy and the beautiful garden of the 13th century. The stone-paved streets around the village lead passed lots of beautiful old stone houses and an attractive museum which was built to commemorate the weaving industry.
