Besides, they have successfully attached a power cable to the No. 1, 2, 5 and 6 reactors in a first step to help cool reactors and stop the spread of radiation as well as expect to restore electricity. If engineers cannot cool the reactor, the last option would be to entomb the plant with concrete and sand with the aim at preventing a catastrophic radiation leak, the method used at Chernobyl in Ukraine in 1986. read more
