The life-size wax figures of all 44 U.S Presidents made their debut at Madame Tussauds Washington D.C. on Feb. 17, 2011, just a few days later on Presidents’ Day (February 21). Actually, there are only 43 figures because Grover Cleveland, who served two nonconsecutive terms, is counted twice as No. 22 and No. 24. Each has a historical setting to represent his piece of history and look more authentic. George Washington rows across the Delaware river, Franklin D. Roosevelt sits near a radio and fireplace, Ronald Reagan stands beside the Berlin Wall, George W. Bush is surrounded by 9/11 images and Barack Obama poses in front of the Oval Office. The Madame Tussauds wax museum spent much time to carefully research the eyes, hair, skin tone and other features of U.S. Presidents through hundreds of pictures and many videos.
