In an effort to do this plan, the Golden Globe-winning actress lent the organization Raising Malawi $11 million of her money and was a frequent visitor to Malawi, where she even has adopted two children. The star said that she still expected to work with Raising Malawi because there was a real education crisis in this country with sixty-seven percent of girls not being able to follow secondary school.
