The cause is the abnormal hot weather in Russia for over a month. It is warned that smog covering Moscow and the Moscow region- the worst affected areas harms human health due to the heavy mixture of smoke from peat fires and petrol fumes. Moreover, it was also reported that similar fires had been found in other central parts of European Russia such as the Tverskaya and Ivanovo regions. There are no signs that the temperature will fall below 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) in the near future.
