Particularly, scientists have discovered many strange and petrified bodies in these marshes and named them “the Bog People”. They are among the most perfectly preserved bodies worldwide during over 2,000 years. Acids, which were found in the peat, turned the skin of “Bog People” dark and their hair orange.
