By: Robert | 2010-03-26 | Electronics It is a great product, one of Sony's bests! ... but NOT BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE This is my only regret with the PS3 Consoles. It is not backward compatible with PS2 games. What does SONY expect? What should I do with all my PS2 games that it doesn't matter the image quality? like Rock Band or Guitar Hero? Do they want me to have two systems or trash all those games?... read more
By: John | 2010-03-26 | Electronics I've been due for a new game system for a while now. The last one I had was the ps2 when it was new. So yes this was not a hard decision because I was very happy with my ps2 and expected no less with the Playstation PS3. But some other factors that played into the decision to buy a ps3 over a 360 or a wii. read more
By: John | 2010-03-26 | Electronics I've had my Slim for a few days, and I have to say I'm impressed with how much more smoothly it runs compared to my old 80GB PS3 Console. I don't know how good its power consumption really is, but it's quieter, and its heat output is noticeably less. I live in a townhome with a poorly designed AC for the top floor and the heat output of any device in my bedroom is noticeable... read more

By: Robert | 2010-03-27 | Electronics I must say, I opened my PS3 Consoles and was tickled with giddy!! I don't want to give the wrong impression, so to recap I have been a gamer since Ps1 (this is not to say I didn't play nintendo) when I was a child; but I feel you don't truly become a real gamer until you have grown up, had a family and, still continue to play game consoles on a frequent basis... read more

By: Robert | 2010-03-27 | Electronics A year ago, the PlayStation 3 might not have been worth buying. Boy have things changed. By: mocowiz | 2010-03-26 | Electronics I originally wrote a review on the 60 gb PS3 Consoles right after it launched in November, 2006. Like the original 60 gb the new PS3 Consoles slim 120 gb is almost as good once you get past its few flaws. The new Playstation 3 has the same specifications as the previous model, but it's 32% smaller, 36% lighter and 33% more energy-efficient than the regular PS3 Consoles. It sports a slightly different look and the touch buttons are now replaced with real buttons. .. read more

By: Chad | 2011-04-21 | Mobile It doesn't matter how good something is something can always go wrong. The PS3 for example great bit of kit, excellent games, amazing graphics and Blu-ray capabilities, but it can still break down. The PS3's particular problem is something called the yellow light of death and is caused by a few different things, however the main cause for it is overheating. Overheating can lead to more permanent damage being caused so it is something you should avoid at all costs. This can be fixed or prevented read more
By: mocowiz | 2010-03-26 | Electronics The PS3 Consoles can do so much more than a PS2. For one thing, it plays Blu-ray dvds and streams internet wirelessly. It also plays awesome games in great quality. I have mine hooked up to a normal tv, the same one I had my PS2 hooked up to. I used the basic cables that came with it and I could easily tell a difference in the graphics... read more
