The collection was bought by Tampa businesswoman Maureen Dunkel for a total of $700,000 in 1997, eight weeks before Diana was killed in a Paris car crash, as an investment. After Diana’s death, a non-profit foundation was set up by Dunkel to take the dresses on tour and raise money for Dian’s charities. The clothing line has been displayed in several cities in the United States, Canada, New Zealand and particularly at London's Kensington Palace, where she lived after her divorce from Prince Charles, for 10 years. read more
