This year, China unveiled the world’s longest sea bridge. The Jiaozhou Bay Bridge stretches a massive 26.4 miles, nearly three miles longer than the previous record-holder, the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway in Louisiana. It took four years to build this £5.5billion bridge. Supported by over 5,000 pillars, this 26.4 mile-long structure connects the country’s eastern port city of Qingdao to an offshore island, Huangdao.
