However, an adventurous family of Herman and Candelaria Zapp has regarded their 83-year-old 1928 vintage Graham-Paige car as their home for the last 11 years on a never ending trip. Traveling through four continents, Herman and Candelaria Zapp have clocked incredible 142,000 miles (228,526 km) so far. San Francisco – born Herman met sweet-heart Candelaria Candelaria Zapp in Argentina when they were pupils at primary school. The couple has been together since then and got married in 1996. Instead of buying a house, IT specialist Herman and his wife set their first trip in 2000 from Patagonia, Argentina to Alaska in an 83 year old Graham-Paige vehicle given by Herman's grandfather. After returning home in 2004, they settled down for a while and started traveling again.
