Recently, an annual photo contest for best snapshots of like under the sea has been hosted by the University of Miami's Rosenstiel of Marine and Atmospheric Science and gathered more than 600 images from international photographers. The prize for Best Overall Photo of this competition belongs to German photographer Tobias Friedrich with a snapshot of two transparent gobies in MarsaAlam, Egypt. British photographer Michael Gallagher wins the first prize in the contest's "Marco" category with the photo of a pyhmy seahorse. The photo of two cuttlefish mating off in the Oosterschelde estuary by Luc Rooman earned the top prize in the "Wide-Angle" category. By: John Stevens | 2010-11-17 | Art Jason de Caires Taylor, a British scuba-diving cum sculptor, has a new art project called the Underwater Art Museum at the Isla Mujeres National Marine Park, near Cancun, on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Taylor created the sunk foundations of 400 individually cast human moulds, which were taken from members of the Mexican public. The sculptures covering 420sq meters are made from special cement with a neutral PH to encourage coral growth and provide a habitat for marine life. His idea aims to reduce the pressure on natural reefs of the area, which sees 750,000 people visit every year. The artist said that visitors can fly over these sculptures and go between them underwater. read more

At first, it had only 85 members but until now 500 babies take part in special swimming class. According to Phil, swimming helps six-week babies' brain grow faster than in later years. In the first four weeks, parents hold their babies and teach them to get used to the water. They also use their owncamera to capture wonderful moments of the child's first dip.
