Seventeen atomic power reactors are allowed to operate in the next 8 or 14 years. However, the policy of the German government on September 28th allows extending the operation time of nuclear power plants. Therefore, Greenpeace activists protested with projections simultaneously at 12 atomic power reactors in Germany. For instance, on a cooling tower of the nuclear power station Gundremmingen, they projected the slogan: “Nuclear power station Grundremmingen: nuclear power harms Germany”. Moreover, nearly 100 demonstrators were reported to drum and blow whistles and holding banners “No thanks to atomic power” outside the Chancellery. read more
