Fish are interesting pets to have in any home, although they shine in smaller spaces such as a condo. After settling in your newly purchased Chuan Park condo unit, try these five low-maintenance fish for a hobby.

Betta Splendens

The Betta Splendens, or commonly known as the Betta, have very bright and colorful fins and tailfins. It is small and only lives up to two to four years, but can also live up to five years if good care is given to the fish. The Betta were bred to be aggressive in nature but more recent fish were bred for their attractive colors.

Goldfish

The Goldfish is a well-known type of breed. It usually lives in slow-moving, freshwater setting but many people prefer to keep them in small, round fish bowls. The Goldfish’s closest relative is actually the Carp. These fish can usually live up to ten to fifteen years and can reach up to thirty years if they receive quality care from their owner.

Neon Tetras

The Neon Tetras emit a light source from their own body. They usually travel in schools and live in acidic blackwater streams and can also live in clearwater streams. They are tiny in size and can be kept in aquariums and fish bowls along with other compatible fishes.

Corydoras Catfish

Corydoras or Cory Catfish usually have lots of tiny spots and are small in size, unlike a regular catfish. They are found in small-sized streams, marshes, or ponds. They are considered very popular pets as they are lively, attractive, and very energetic. They scavenge leftover foods and love eating different varieties of worms.

Zebrafish

The Zebrafish is a small, streamlined fish that lives in rivers in Asia. They are important to scientists as they commonly test experiments and are one of the leading models for studying development. They are popular among pet buyers and pet lovers and can be kept in small aquariums and bowls.
