Our home is where we feel the safest, and as such it’s important to keep it that way. Here are five tips to consider if you want to maintain safety in your Lentor Mansion condo.

Switch to a Smart Lock

A smart door lock presents several benefits over its traditional counterpart, including convenience, safety, and modern conveniences. A lock with a video feature lets you see who the visitor is before you open it, and a mobile app notifies you when it’s still open or has been opened.

Install CCTVs in Strategic Areas

A CCTV camera gives you peace of mind knowing you can check it anytime with an internet connection. A good indoor camera lets you see a wide view, two-way audio so you can talk, and a night mode so you can see even in a dark environment.

Invest in Curtains

Curtains in windows and glass doors can serve as effective deterrents to prying eyes. The type of curtain or privacy screen doesn’t matter as long as it gets the job done. You can invest in a smart curtain that opens up in the morning and closes at night, or opt for a budget blackout version to keep the indoor space nice and comfortable.

Smoke and Fire Alarms a Must

Cover all your bases with a smoke and fire alarm combo. If you have the means, get a carbon monoxide detector as well. In a smaller space such as a condo unit, having one can mean the difference between life and death.

Double Check Everything Before You Leave

Set up a reminder on your smartphone to check all the appliances and make sure they’re off and/or unplugged. Smart appliances allow you to view their status even when you’re at the office or on vacation.
