Lobuche Peak is the highest mountain in Nepal, located on the border of Khumbu and Solukhumbu. It lies between Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse, which are two of the most famous mountains in the world.

The climbing season for Lobuche Peak is from April to May, when it’s still cool enough for tourists to climb but not so cold that it would be dangerous for them. SummitClimb also offers Lobuche climb on January and February. Ama Dablam, Manaslu, Everest, Lhotse and Island Peak are some of the mountains located in Nepal.

The trekking trail is about 5 days long and takes climbers through some of the most stunning landscapes on Earth. The route begins at Namche Bazaar, a small town near Mount Everest that has been inhabited since it was founded in 1908 by Alfred Mummery. Today, Namche Bazaar has become a tourist destination because of its proximity to such amazing sights like Lobuche Peak.

There are several routes that lead up to Lobuche Peak, but they all begin at Monjo or Gorak Shep village, which are both popular trekking destinations near Mount Everest Base Camp (EBC). From EBC you can also see several other mountains such as Kala Patthar (5806m), Cholatse (5380m), Island Peak (6189m) and Pumori (7145m) which are all considered easy climbs compared to Everest itself or Cho Oyu!

The difficulty level ranges from easy to moderate. The route starts from Monjo and ends at Gorak Shep. The trail passes through beautiful forests and alpine meadows before reaching the final destination. There are many campsites along the route for climbers to rest in between. The climb to Lobuche Peak is not a challenging one. The altitude, the weather and the terrain are some factors  may  make it a challenge for non-experienced climbers. To ensure you have all the gear you need for this climb, we’ve created this list of necessary equipment.
