In the beginning of this year, the company’s head of consumer devices acknowledged difficulties with US sanctions. The new phone was launched to show how hard it is for the company to work with these sanctions.
The sanctions have prevented Huawei devices from working with Google’s Android Operating system. That is why the company has started to use its own operating system called Harmony OS.
