In the 90s, comedy was golden, and we had some of the best options. It was an era with some of the best and most lovable characters we’ve ever seen on TV, and we enjoyed every moment we them. Sometimes when we feel down or bored, we check back to watch these series to have a good laugh. And we even see sports news use relatable puns.

These shows and their characters gave us a lot, and we can only be grateful for the cinematic genius. It doesn’t matter if it was in front of a live audience or a sitcom; they gave us some real moments that we believed to be real at some point. In that case, from the numerous options, here are five of the best 90s comedy you can check out.

Friends (1994-2004)

This TV show is, in the run, not just the best comedy TV series but the greatest show on TV in history. It is the perfect combination of life, love, friendship, romance, and daily lives. Many people find it relatable, and even though the series ended almost two decades ago, it is still fresh no matter how many times you see it.

Phoebe, Ross, Rachel, Joey, Monica, and Chandler are like pieces of a puzzle that fits perfectly, and we can’t imagine taking one out of the fray. From the first season when Rachel ran into the coffee shop in her wedding dress to the last episode when Chandler teased with the “where,” a sarcastic comment, it was an impeccable journey that once you get hooked, you will watch over and over again.

Everybody Loves Raymond (1996-2005)

Everybody Loves Raymond is a TV show that centers around Raymond Barone, a Newsday sports writer that lives close to his parent with his wife and kids. He’s an easy-going individual until he’s pushed to the edge. However, he loves to be the center of attention. And he’s your typical mama’s boy, one of his wife’s, Debra’s issues.

The entire series focuses on Raymond Barone, but we also see some parts of his brother’s life. It is glaring that his brother is jealous, given that he has everything any man would want. But there is more to the show, and once you start, you will see why it makes it into our top five selection.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990-1996)

This TV show is about a young boy from Philadephia that moved to Bel-Air to live with his Uncle to get an education and a better life since his single mother can’t handle his shenanigans. The series starts with him arriving at Uncle Phil’s mansion, where he meets other family members.

He soon becomes one of them, but there is no lack of ups and downs as he tries to navigate the terrain of his new home. Will Smith plays the main character, and we got to see some of his best actings.

Mr. Bean (1990-1995)

Everybody loves Mr. Bean, and we don’t mind following him in his daily activities as he tries to do the simplest things in the hardest ways. Played by Rowan Atkinson, a renowned comic, Mr. Bean became as popular as the actor, if not more popular. Many viewers tagged it the single most incredible one-person show. Undoubtedly, we can’t say that Rowan didn’t do justice to the acting and character.

Seinfeld (1989-1998)

Even though Seinfeld began in 1989, it is every bit a 90s comedy show. The show centers around the popular host, Jerry Seinfeld, who stars as a TV version of himself, including antics between him and his friends. The show is fun to watch, and there is no doubt that it is one of the most popular series in TV history.

Conclusion

There are many comedy shows, but these get in ahead of others, and undoubtedly, we recommend if you want something light-hearted, you can start with any. Most are available on various live streaming platforms, and you can always get started without issues. Simply the one you want to start binging every episode of pure laughter and fun.
